Abstract

Authors reported a case of struma ovarii which originated from the right ovary of the Korean house wife who is 45 year-old. (G-10, P-6)
She has suffered from slowly growing mass in the lower abdomen for seven years. But no symptoms of hyperthyroidism nor thyrotoxicosis are encountered in this patient.
The mass of right ovary measures 16.5x13.5x10.2cm. On histopathologic study, the specimen was made up of thyroid tissue in predominant amount. Neither malignant change nor metastasis is seen
The brief review of literature was done.
